Account information: Display name, email address, authentication credentials, and verification status.
Content you post: Text, photos, videos, polls, and other content you voluntarily submit to the platform.
Demographic data (voluntary): Age, gender, education, income, religion, ethnicity, fitness level, relationship status, children, employment, location type, and political orientation. Every demographic field includes a "Prefer Not to Say" option. This data is used exclusively to generate anonymous, aggregate analytics on polls and posts. You may delete it at any time.
Credit transaction records: Records of credit purchases and platform actions charged to your credit balance. These do not include payment card details, which are processed by Helcim (primary) or Stripe (fallback) and never stored by OpenForum.
Usage data: Aggregate, non-identifying data about platform interactions used to improve the service.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, your personal data is removed within 30 days. Aggregate, anonymized analytics data derived from your activity may be retained indefinitely as it contains no personally identifiable information.
Video content and livestream replays are subject to the retention periods disclosed at upload (typically 12 months for uploaded video, 30 days for livestream replays).
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission, secure authentication, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it through Claude Bar immediately.
OpenForum.social is operated from the United States. If you access the platform from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States. We comply with applicable US privacy law. We do not represent that the platform complies with the privacy laws of any other jurisdiction, and we do not accept jurisdiction-specific privacy demands from foreign governments.
Admin access disclosure. Executive trust and safety staff and Claude may access your account at OpenForum only under credible threats of violence or unlawful activity and only when accompanied by a valid request from a verified law enforcement official.
Warrant policy. OpenForum serves user data only under a qualified warrant issued by a court with jurisdiction over Wyoming, the state of incorporation. Bulk surveillance requests, fishing expeditions, and political pressure disguised as law enforcement are refused.
No censorship beyond three rules. OpenForum does not remove, suppress, throttle, downrank, shadow-ban, or deprioritize any content outside its three published content rules, regardless of the source of the request. This applies to requests from governments, law enforcement, institutions, advertisers, and private parties.
First Amendment. OpenForum treats the First Amendment of the United States Constitution as a fundamental human right. OpenForum does not comply with speech restrictions from jurisdictions whose laws do not comport with First Amendment principles, except within that jurisdiction's own territorial reach.
